Euphony aims at creating a dynamic social experience. The project explores the benefits of music rehabilitation and education. The purpose is to develop a design that will combine both the benefits of music rehabilitation and education, constructing a means to enhance people’s personal and social skills.
Music therapy is the use of music to help people improve or maintain their health in a wide variety of areas, including physical, emotional, mental and social.
Some techniques used in music therapy involve music performance, improvisation and song writing. Music lessons in schools boost pupil’s progress in all areas of their education and also help them set goals and build relationships.
Traditional instruments tend to take a lot of time to pick up and play well enough, especially in group activities. What needs to change is how instruments are designed in order for them to be more accessible and intuitive to people of all ages and backgrounds. A simple design will help encourage people to participate more, and enjoy the benefits of what music has to offer.Extras:
